Problem

At times the microphone will pick-up background noise creating an echo, feedback, or poor sound quality within a deposition.

Quick Take: To ensure that no there is no feedback within a deposition, users should consider using a headset.

The old version of the Microsoft Edge browser will cause echo issues and other feedback problems.


Solution

  1. The most common reason for microphone feedback is that the volume of your computer is too high

    1. Turning down the speakers should remove the feedback on the deposition

  2. It is possible that your electronic device’s microphone is not working properly

  3. Two devices in the same room and connected to the some deposition can cause feedback

    1. One of these connected devices should have their speakers muted and their microphone turned off
