This article will teach you how to upload an exhibit into a deposition both before and during the deposition.

Quick Take: You are able to upload exhibits before and during depositions.

Instructions

Before your deposition takes place:

  1. As a reporter, you have the ability to upload files before your deposition is scheduled to take place to prepare for the upcoming session.

    1. You can upload them as you create the deposition by adding the files into the “Exhibits” box at the bottom of the Deposition Details page.

    2. These files are only visible to you at this time.

    3. You can view the files once uploaded by clicking on the “Open” button across from the uploaded exhibit at the bottom of the Deposition Details page

  2. As an attendee, you also can upload exhibits prior to the deposition

    1. To do so, join the deposition room ahead of the scheduled deposition

    2. Clicking the orange “Exhibit” button opens the box to drag a file into or to open the dialog box to browse to the location of the file.

      1. You can preview the exhibits by selecting “View” next to each file you upload

      2. No one will be able to access these files until the deposition has begun and you have clicked on “Share” to the right of the selected exhibit.

During your deposition:

  1. While the deposition is underway you will have the option to upload exhibits whenever you need.

    1. Select the orange “Exhibit” button on your screen

    2. A drop panel will appear, click anywhere in drop panel to upload file

    3. Files will not be shown to other attendees until you click on the “Share” button to the right of your uploaded exhibits.

  2. After your deposition has ended:

    1. After a deposition has ended you can not introduce any new exhibits.

All exhibits that were shared during the deposition will be available for review and download after the deposition has ended.

All un-introduced files from your deposition will not be shared with the other parties and are not a part of the record.
