Problem

This page will explain what to do when the user cannot hear anyone in the deposition room.

Quick Take: Check your OS settings to ensure that your speakers are working and accessible to vTestify.

Solution

  1. Make sure that your speakers are not on mute.

  2. If you are using a desktop, ensure that speakers are turned on and the volume turned up if it has a physical knob.

  3. Test that the speakers are working by playing a YouTube.com Video with the sound turned on.

  4. Check the “Output Device” in the Windows and Mac Settings. The following articles will assist:

    1. For Mac users, go to “System Preferences” in your dock.

      1. Select the “Sound” tab and this will allow you to access all sound settings including speaker output.

    2. For Windows users, right-click on the sound settings button in the lower right corner of your computer.

    3. Select “Open Sound Settings” to access information on your speaker output and ensure they are properly selected.

  5. After making any sound settings changes please refresh the vTestify platform by click the refresh button to the left of the address bar.

  6. Ensure that you are using Supported Browsers
