Microsoft Edge's Camera & Microphone Settings
Problem
Quick Take: While in the deposition room, there is an icon of a video camera/microphone that appears on the right side of the address bar. This icon is a shortcut to your browser’s camera and microphone settings.

Solution
In the top right corner of the Microsoft Edge browser, there are 3 horizontal dots. Click these dots to view the main menu drop-down as shown below:
Once the main menu is displayed, select the “Settings” option towards the bottom of the menu
Click “Site Permissions” on the left of your screen
You will find “Camera” and “Microphone” options listed
After selecting “Camera”, navigate to the ‘Allow’ section and confirm the URL associated to the platform is present
If the URL associated with the platform is listed within the ‘Block’ section, click the tiny arrow to the right of the URL
Locate the camera icon listed under the ‘Permissions’ section and choose “Allow” within the drop-down menu
There is also a drop-down menu at the top left of the ‘Microphone’ section, which allows you to select the proper device
You should try each device to confirm the correct device has been selected
Microphone
After selecting the “Microphone”, navigate to the ‘Allow’ section and confirm the URL associated with the platform is present
If the URL associated with the platform is listed within the ‘Block’ section, click the tiny arrow to the right of the URL
Locate the microphone icon listed under the ‘Permissions’ section and choose “Allow” within the drop-down menu
There is also a drop-down menu at the top left of the ‘Microphone’ section, which allows you to select the proper device
You should try each device to confirm the correct device has been selected
We have found many instances where there are multiple microphones listed in the drop-down menu. Often it is set to “Default - Audio Device” and then you’ll notice there is the exact same device name appearing lower within the drop-down menu. Changing the option to the second identical device is often the fix.
